Since the late 70’s Keith has toured and recorded in bands, most notably the MUTANTS, GEISHA GIRLS, CUDDLY TOYS, AFTER A FASHION and the LOVETONES. As a headline act (in bands and as a solo performer) he has worked extensively across the UK and Europe and has opened for a variety of acts including the Jam, Buzzcocks, Ultravox, the Police, Big Country, Steve Marriott, Nik Turner, Hawkwind, Paul Weller, the Damned, Blondie, Joe Strummer, Billy Bragg, Neil Innes and The Rutles. His music has featured on film, television and radio in the UK, Ireland, Canada and the USA. Since 2007 he has been a part-time member of the legendary SCAFFOLD (with John Gorman and Mike McCartney). He continues to tour and record with the SPIRITUALISTS and the composer RACHEL NICHOLAS.
When they don’t number two, three or four members, Keith Wilson and the Spiritualists is a band of five, occasionally six, from both sides of the River Mersey. The music is an eclectic mix of many genres including psychedelia, indie, ska, folk, dub reggae, poetry and progressive rock. Songs about brigands, blaggards and ne’er-do-wells rub shoulders with everyday tales of domesticity, pirates, boy/girl dysfunction and chocolate biscuits.
